On January 20, the Weavers Guild will join other Twin Cities artists at the Minnesota Museum of American Art, or ‘The M’, for an afternoon of creative fun for all ages.

Taking inspiration from the artist Sheila Pepe’s “improvisational crochet” installation, Softly …. Before the Supreme Court, now on view in the The M’s Sculpture Court, visitors will come together to try their hand at different handwork techniques while transforming and “drawing” with fiber in the gallery spaces. We’d love to see you there!

If you can’t make it on the 20th, be sure to stop by the Museum to see Sheila Pepe’s work, which will be on view through April 7. Admission to The M is always free.

Special thanks to artists and WGM instructors and members Karen Searle and Heather MacKenzie for their help in bringing about this project!
