ROC DAY at WGM: January 7, 11am-4pm
Kickoff the New Year with Fiber!
The Whorling Spinsters invite all WGM members to a St. Distaff / Roc Day get together in our Open Book space on Sunday January 7th, from 11am–4pm. We are greatly looking forward to your companionship.
The tradition of Roc Day goes back centuries in European history. Originally the 12th day after Christmas, it was the last celebration for fiber folks before their ‘work year’ started anew. At WGM, we celebrate it with an all-members gathering hosted by the Whorling Spinsters, one of the longest-organized interest groups at the guild.
Bring a fiber craft to work on in the company of other WGM members, as well as a dish to share. Whether you are a spinner, weaver, dyer or fiber enthusiast, we invite you to join in this day of celebration. All members are welcome.
