Thank you so much for your support of the Weavers Guild of Minnesota. WGM continues to offers over 150 classes, workshops and events annually taught by over 50 master instructors, serving nearly 700 new and experienced fiber artists each year. WGM is excited to bring weaving, spinning and dyeing to audiences across Minnesota and beyond.

2017 was filled with many accomplishments, including:

  • Membership rates increased by 12% this year – we are now a community of nearly 600 members.
  • Classes, workshops and events continue to reach a variety of interests, techniques and levels and maintain a high approval rating with participants.
  • WGM reach has expanded – since January we have done exciting programming with the Dakota County Library, Goldstein Museum of Design, Northrop’s World Art Day, Shepard’s Harvest, Northern Spark, Norway House, farmers markets, Taste of NE, Bridging MN and the State Fair.
  • Our digital audience has grown by 53% from last year with a new total marketing reach of approximately 15,000 subscribers, followers and fans. Follow along with #WeavingMN!
  • This year, WGM joined 40 other arts organizations across the country in becoming W.A.G.E. Certified. Certification publicly recognizes nonprofit arts organizations demonstrating a commitment to ethical payment practices with artists contracted.
  • WGM secured exciting group exhibitions – including the Norway House (2017), Paradise Center for the Arts (2018), Great River Arts (2019) and the Owatonna Arts Center (2019).
  • Our extremely generous volunteer community contributed nearly 3,000 hours this year… astounding!

It really does take a village to make a nonprofit run! WGM relies on our community’s gift of time, talent and treasure. Please consider a meaningful gift of any size to WGM this year to support our programming. We deeply honor your trust and investment in WGM and take stewardship seriously. WGM is a 501c3 organization (Federal Tax ID: 23-7423013) and all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Thank you in advance and we hope to see you at WGM soon!

Warmly,
