Join the Three Rivers Fibershed for the next One Year One Outfit Gathering

Saturday February 23, 12pm – 3pm

5400 Vernon Ave S Edina, MN 55436

“One year one outfit” is a maker challenge where participants aim to make a locally sourced outfit in one year using the Fibershed principles of Local Fiber, Local Labor, and Local Dyes. The Three Rivers Fibershed is facilitating the formation of a group to support each other in working to create local outfits. To follow up last month’s kickoff event, this month will focus on two ways to create local cloth, so individuals who are looking to learn more about their options for creating local cloth for your outfit can get you on the right track!

Featuring special guests, Kala Exworthy and Marian Dahlberg of Small Dog Weaving Mill, two methods will be presented for participants in the One Year One Outfit challenge looking to create local cloth. The event will also feature the Three Rivers Fibershed producers selling their locally grown and processed fiber goods for purchase to help you get the materials needed to start your outfits. Presentations by Kala Exworthy and Small Dog Weaving Mill will start around 1 p.m. with time for Q & A afterwords. The event is free and open to any who are interested in learning more about this challenge to explore our regional fiber systems and tell its stories. TRF producers present will include:

Whetstone Farm | Dresow Family Farm | Sunrise River Alpacas | Harvest Hills Acres | Autumn Larch Farm LLC
