Exhibition Title: “Skilled Hands: Works by Weavers Guild of Minnesota Instructors”
Eligibility: Past and/or Present Teacher/Instructor/Artists of Classes/Workshops at the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Organization Overview: Since its founding in 1940 by six women, including Hilma Berglund, the Weavers Guild of Minnesota (“WGM”) has established itself as a nationally-recognized resource for the arts of weaving, spinning, and dyeing. WGM offers over 150 classes and events annually, serving nearly 700 new and experienced fiber artists each year. WGM is a registered 501(c) arts non-profit organization. www.weaversguildmn.org
Exhibition Opportunity: WGM seeks applicants for an upcoming group exhibition celebrating the work of WGM instructors in the areas of weaving, spinning and dyeing at the Carlander Family Gallery in the Paradise Center for the Arts (“PCA”) in historic Faribault, Minnesota. The exhibition will run January 9-February 24, 2018 with an opening reception on January 19, 2018 from 5-7pm. All works will be for sale with a 65%/35% split (35% of the sale price to go to the PCA gallery). Both WGM and PCA will be responsible for advertisement of the exhibition, including but not limited to: press release(s), postcards, radio, newspaper and social media promotion. There are no fees to the artist to participate but insurance of the work(s) will be the responsibility of the participant. This exhibition will be juried by the Weavers Guild of Minnesota exhibition committee members.
Exhibition Theme: There is no specific topic or theme to the exhibition – the only requirement is that you have taught a class, workshop or other program at WGM at any time.
