treeServing on the board of the Weavers Guild is a fantastic way to volunteer your talents and knowledge to our great organization.  We need you!  There is an opening on the board at this time, for a member at large.

There are many positive and enticing reasons to serve on the board.  You will develop friendships with other dedicated board members. The Guild is in an exciting phase, with new classes and expanding programs.  While the Guild budget will always require careful oversight by the board, our organization is in terrific shape, financially. The board members are respectful and enthusiastic. Another board benefit?  Volunteer pairs from the board bring dinner (and wine!) for the board each month. Your dinner is taken care of on board meeting nights, and you have time to converse with colleagues.

Our board is made up of both members who have been around the Guild for many years and newer member/weavers. Maybe you served on the board long ago, or are a newer member looking for a way to get involved.

The term will be for 18 months, serving now through August of 2017.  The full board meeting is on the fourth Thursday of each month (the next one is on January 28).  If you have more questions about serving on the board, any of your friends on the board would be happy to discuss it with you.  Their names are listed below.  If you are interested in serving, contact Cynthia Scott on the Nominating Committee.  Happy holidays!
