The Weavers Guild of Minnesota (“WGM”) offers undergraduate juniors and seniors, and graduate students the opportunity to learn about our organization and participate in a variety of duties associated with ongoing projects through its internship program. All internship opportunities will take place in the Minneapolis office or remotely unless otherwise specified. While internship responsibilities vary by team, areas of focus may include:

Internship Application Timeline – WGM offers three internship terms:

Intern Qualifications
Students must be currently enrolled undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students, have an academic major or demonstrated interest in international affairs, possess excellent research, writing, interpersonal, and verbal communications skills, be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, and possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office. International students are welcome to apply, however, all selected international applicants will need to obtain valid work authorization on his/her own behalf. 

Intern Commitments
Interns are asked to commit to a recommended  5 hours per week plus support of activities outside of regular business hours. Candidates are welcome to apply for part-time as well as full-time internships, depending on their schedules.

Intern Benefits
While internships are unpaid, WGM does offer limited local public travel reimbursement to and from the office. Interns also receive a complimentary, one-year membership with WGM. Interns may receive external sponsorship or academic credit for an internship at WGM. To make arrangements for academic credit, applicants should contact their university’s career center or academic advisor.
