We made our August 31 campaign goal!

On behalf of the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, we would like to thank you for your generous end of fiscal year 2016-2017 campaign support! Your investment helps support the practices of weaving, spinning and dyeing. As one of the oldest and largest weaving organizations in the country, WGM is proud of its 77 year history and growing student population.

In 2017, with your support, we will focus on our 4 core values developed in our WGM2020 strategic plan:

  1. WGM celebrates and respects all individuals from beginners to seasoned artists and crafts persons.
  2. As a grassroots organization, we value the active participation of our volunteers, staff, and members.
  3. We value traditional fiber techniques and culture as well as innovative, art-based uses of fiber.
  4. We value a rich, positive environment that inspires lifelong learning in a non-competitive environment, nurturing a multi-generational and diverse community.

Again, thank you for your dedication to WGM as it advances its mission and connects with the larger fiber arts community. Our end of fiscal year campaign this year met its $5,000 goal by 106%. We also achieved 147% more than our average end of fiscal year campaigns ($2,150). Thank you!
