The Weavers Guild of Minnesota is thrilled to participate in the 2018 Art Shanty Project! Demonstrators will be sharing weaving, spinning and dyeing-related maker activities in a beautiful architect-design Ghost Shanty on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis from January 21 – February 11, 2018.

What are the details on this years event?
The 2018 On-Ice Program will be presented on Lake Harriet (Bde Unma) in the Linden Hills Neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN. The frozen surface will act as host and backdrop to a wide range of actions, interventions, happenings, stories, songs, games and more. Shanty Village is free and open to the public beginning in January 20, 2018. Hours and dates to be determined. Explore shanties, interact with performing artists, and complete the scene as Art Shanty Projects repurposes the area’s best amenity to reimagines traditional cultural practices to transform the landscape in expansive and exciting ways.
