Skill Levels

Which class is right for you?

A Beginning student is new to the subject and has no experience. Beginners are first-timers or individuals who would like a refresher in the topic.

An Advanced Beginning student has some experience, one to three classes in the subject. These courses are for beginners who want to continue but would like to develop more skill and technique.

An Intermediate student is familiar with the subject and has some experience. Students have completed several classes and have a developed vocabulary as well as a general knowledge of the subject. The instructor will assume you need some direction but students should be comfortable starting and finishing projects.

An Advanced student is capable of working independently and has a high skill level in the medium. Experience can vary, but usually students have several years of training or have thoroughly developed their skills and technique.

Multi-Level classes offer a basic introduction in the subject and provide an opportunity for a higher level of practice and skill. The instructor works one-on-one with students to develop technique, subject matter, and goals. Class projects are individually tailored to meet the needs of the student.
