Krokbragd and Variations
Krokbragd is a traditional Scandinavian coverlet weave in a three harness boundweave structure.  Designs are made by changing color order while the treadling order remains constant. Students will be designing and weaving a piece approximately 18" wide.   Students already familiar with krokbragd may choose to weave a variation such as double krokbragd, 3 or 4 harness bound rosepath or Danskbrogd.  Danskbrogd is a Norwegian pick up technique that is traditionally done on krokbragd or plain weave threading.  Students weaving krokbragd may choose to add a band or two of Danskbrogd to their designs.  Weaving yarn will be available to purchase in class - estimated $70 - $100. Students should expect to spend time at the Guild in between classes to complete their project.
