What happens in a week at the Weavers Guild of Minnesota? Let us tell you about a recent one:
- A Beginning Weaving class had six excited new students
- A Spinning Study Group overflowed the spinning room
- Another study group warped the AVL loom for their next group project
- A student was having a private lesson on a table loom
- A loom was warped by a volunteer for the next swatch exchange
- Several people stopped by for advice about a weaving project
- A group of volunteers labeled and shelved new yarns and priced donated yarns
- The Exhibit Committee hung an exciting new show
This is a place where talented teachers share generously of their knowledge; where members make the guild active and vibrant; where volunteers give their time to keep the guild moving forward; where people come for advice and resources not found anywhere else, and where staff welcomes everyone with a smile and a wealth of information.
