Member Meetings

Catharine Ellis PresentationJoin us July 17 for a special presentation by preeminent shibori artist, Catharine Ellis.  Catherine is the author of Woven Shibori, an Interweave Press publication that teaches weavers of all skill levels how to create their own handwoven and handdyed works of shibori art.  Catherine will present "Woven Shibori with Wool, Felt, and Resists," a discussion about using wool for the woven shibori process.  Through images and possible demonstrations, samples, and discussion, we will explore wool felting, felt resist, and cross dyeing.  Visit Catherine's website for more information and images.

Member meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month, September through May.  Most meetings feature informational lectures by local and national fiber artists, but other meetings are simply fun-filled times for Guild members to show each other their work.  Social hour begins at 6:30 pm and meetings begin at 7:00 pm.  Guests are always welcome.
