Donating Equipment or Yarn

The Guild receives donations of textile and fiber arts books and magazines, with the subject matter focusing on weaving, spinning and dyeing. When a donation is received, a review of the book is done to determine whether or not it should be added to our reference collection, donated to the Textile Center library, or put on sale. If you have books you would like to donate to the Guild we ask that they be in good condition, pages and spine intact, and free of odors. Before donating magazines, please contact the Guild office.

We also accept the generous donations of looms, spinning wheels, yarns, and accessories. When a donation is received, the equipment is compared to items in our inventory to determine which item will be kept and which will be sold. We ask that you contact the Guild office prior to donating equipment. While we would like to accept all donations, we have a limited amount of retail space available that must be considered before taking in a donation.

Income generated from the sale of donated equipment and books is used to support the general operation of the Guild and expand our reference collection.
