About Us
The mission of the Weavers Guild is to educate and support its members and the community, and to advance the arts of weaving, spinning, and dyeing.
The Weavers Guild of Minnesota has been dedicated to the education and promotion of fiber arts for almost 70 years. The Guild has continually provided the community with classes and workshops to promote interest and expertise in fiber arts, with a focus on weaving, spinning, and dyeing.
The Weavers Guild of Minnesota is incorporated as a nonprofit, tax-exempt educational organization. In 2001, the Weavers Guild of Minnesota joined with other fiber arts communities and moved to the new Textile Center. Our space includes three classrooms with over two dozen floor looms and a dozen spinning wheels; a small retail space for weaving yarns, new and used books, and accessories; and an extensive reference collection.
We are a volunteer organization that depends on the hard work of its many dedicated members. Tasks range from managing equipment and planning Guild meetings to demonstrating at the State Fair. Our committee chairs and board members provide oversight and planning for Guild resources and activities.

The Weavers Guild of Minnesota, located in the Textile Center, is just minutes from the University of Minnesota campus and Dinkytown, restaurants, and shopping. Conveniently located, we are less than 3 miles from downtown Minneapolis and less than 7 miles from downtown St. Paul.

Parking is free in the lot behind the Textile Center. The street parking behind the center is all-day and overnight. University Ave is one-hour parking. A surface lot is located on 29th Avenue, available to the public for a fee.
